Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Account — name, email, chosen @handle, and (optional) bio, title, region.
• Content — the moves, counters, and co-signs you post.
• Technical — your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention) and a single signed cookie to keep you logged in.

How we use it

• To run the Service (show your posts, send notifications you ask for).
• To keep it safe (rate limiting, moderation, preventing abuse).
• To send transactional email (verification, password reset, claim invites) and — only if you opt in — the weekly digest.

AI processing

To power the referee, solution summaries, accountability flags, and lead detection, the text of relevant posts and public headlines is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. We don't sell your data.

Third parties we rely on

• Hosting and database providers (to run the app).
• An AI provider (Anthropic) for the AI features above.
• An email provider for transactional and digest email.
• Public sources (Reddit, news, X) are read to surface trending problems; we ingest publicly available items only.

Cookies

We use one essential, signed session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and we remove your personal data, except where we must keep limited records for legal or safety reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. You can edit your profile in Settings or contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

The Service isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from people under 18; if you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we'll remove the account and its data.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes

We'll update the date above when this policy changes.
